Howey Mansion Wedding Shoot with Kristen Weaver

Recently we had the distinct honor to film alongside one of our favorite photographer friends Kristen Weaver. She planned a photo shoot with Blush to show off bridal fashion and get a feel for how a Howey Mansion wedding might look. The mansion is currently under renovation, although very near completion, and slated to be one of the most INCREDIBLE venues in Florida!

If you haven’t heard or seen the mansion yet, might be time to take a drive to see this gem. It’s 20 room, 15 acre expanse was originally built in 1925 and has so much architectural charm it’s almost unbelievable. Grand staircases, antique fireplaces, archways, fountains… I’m pretty sure you could turn any corner and be wow’d by this estate. On top of that they have a guest house for the bride and groom to stay in on wedding night and it’s right down the road from Mission Inn for all your guests to stay in (#winning). We cannot wait to see this how amazing this venue will be once it’s completed and open for extraordinary events.

Armando & Allison – The Treasury on the Plaza Wedding – St. Augustine, FL

Treasury St Augustine Wedding

Armando & Allison sealed their marriage vows in the oldest city in America this past September in stylish fashion. St. Augustine is filled with cobblestone streets and historic architecture and this couples used every bit of it to their advantage. They themselves have a Spanish-Florida charm so it was perfect that their scenery did as well. From the majestic hall of Cathedral Basilica to the coquina ramparts of the Castillo de San Marcos, Armando and Allison got to wander the city in epic fashion. The formal affair culminated at The Treasury on the Plaza among family and friends. If you haven’t been to the Treasury in St Augustine for a wedding, you need to get on it! The unique vault door bar and grand room made for dancing is pure perfection. Their decor and lighting team really knocked it out of the park on this one as well which brought it all together! During the reception Armando wooed us all with his saxophone skills and Allison dazzled us with her singing in a celebration of their future together. The final private dance of the night brought those privileged to see it to tears and you could feel the love emanating from them as they departed to spend the rest of their lives together. We were so incredibly honored to film the day and be a part of their wedding team.

2015 Year In Review

Phew what a wild ride!!

In 2015 we photographed 36 weddings, 24 portrait sessions and over 100 dogs. We raised almost $1000 for shelter pet vet bills and donated over 200 hours of volunteer time. We launched our cinema division and Mike went full time at CLPC creating a true husband + wife team. I took the last photo of my mother I ever will. We celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary and my 3-0. I got my 15 minutes of fame on the news. We traveled to Italy, Paris, Maryland and Colorado.. one of which we even fell in love with as our future place of residence. It’s amazing to think what started with one Orlando wedding photographer has grown to so much more!

Cheers to the past year and all the amazing clients, friends and vendors who took part in so many memories. We’ll kick off the walk down memory lane with some of our favorite cinema scenes of 2015…

Alex & Nicole – Italy Destination Wedding

When Nicole & Alex asked us to join them on their destination wedding journey I don’t think we really knew what we were in for. From ancient Rome, historic Florence, and on to the scenic Cinque Terre region, we got the chance to follow a ridiculously unique, talented, and artistic couple on their adventure through Italy and into marriage. They asked us to document the travels through photographs but while on the trip we decided that the story needed motion too. Equipped with photography gear but not our regular set of video items we set out to make an epic film with just a pair of very steady hands. I think we accomplished that seeing as though Cat cries every time she watches it…
