So many of you don’t know this but there’s a rad site out there called Black Sheep Bride. It may sound like brides doing naughty things but it’s just the opposite. It’s all about brides and wedding vendors giving back. I am lucky enough to be a lifetime member of this amazing family of vendors and on 07/31/15 they’re rallying commit to charity in some capacity or another. It’s been deemed:
How can you get involved? Glad you asked!! There’s 3 ways…
1. Take part in the Charitable Dog Booth!! Friday 07/31 & Saturday 08/01 I’ll be setting up a photo area here in Winter Park for pups (humans can jump in too, but must be accompanied by a fur baby). There will be props for them like mustaches, bowties, tutus & hats. Each munchkin will get to strut their stuff and will be given a treat from Woof Gang Bakery as a thank you. If they are social models they’re more than welcome to join out back after their shoot to play with the other dogs in the grass and kiddie pools. You humans will receive their images in digital form as well as one photo booth style printed strip to display proudly on your fridge!
In exchange for this we ask you to please bring a donation for other pups in need. Your pup ended up with an awesome human, lets helping other pups get the same chance! A minimum donation of $15 is required but anything else you’d like to give will gladly be accepted (dog treats, blankets, towels and toys). All money and items collected will be taken to local shelters and rescues for animals in need of them.
To sign up just head to our SIGN UP SHEET and choose a time slot. Address and other pertinent information is in the sign up sheet. Any questions or issues email firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll see you for a day of giving and furry fun!!
2. Check out the Black Sheep Bride site, sign up to host your own event or plan to give back in your own way!
3. Buy a shirt:
“Each shirt will provide 10 meals to children across the nation, as well as Nepal and will also help us continue advocating for Socially Conscious Wedding Alternatives.”
Thank you to all of you world changers out there who give to make our home a better place! Happy giving!
